Cumberland County’s Must-Do Spring Event: Seedy Saturday

The 13th Annual Cumberland County Seedy Saturday is happening in Amherst, NS on March 1st. And we’ve been at every year’s event – it’s one of our must-do spring activities!

What is a Seedy Saturday?

It’s an event that happens in the spring, all across Canada, right before the gardening season begins. If you live elsewhere, check out this list of other Seedy Saturdays.

It’s a great way to get some new seeds.

There are local vendors selling seed that grows well in our region (plus you’ll be supporting local family businesses).

There is also always a Seed Swap table where you can leave or take seeds that folks saved or seeds that people no longer needed. Plus there are typically other local businesses taking part with booths as well.

When: Saturday, March 1st from 11 am to 2 pm

Where: 5 Ratchford St, Amherst, NS. In the Community Credit Union Business Innovation Centre.
