Market Food Club
Hey friends! We’re getting so close to coming back to market! It’s March now … sometime in April is when we plan to start back at the Dieppe Market for the year. That means…..it’s time to sign up for our 2018 Market Food Club! Our Market Food Club is a great way to: support us as your local farmers have the flexibility to choose which vegetables, flowers, herbs, seedlings, and seeds you want and will actually use and to pre-pay (which means you don’t need to bring cash to market) We are grateful for the relationship-building effect of our […]

Well, this coming Saturday will be the last one for us at the Dieppe Market this year…we’ll be back in April. And we wanted to say Thank you! This has been a really great year for us, and as always, it has so much to do with our amazing and loyal customers at the Dieppe Market. We feel super lucky to be able to see you at the market – our whole schedule from April to November is built around Saturdays at the Dieppe Market. We learn so much from our customers – your priorities, what you value, your […]

Thank you for another great market season!

We’re back at the Dieppe Market, starting this coming Saturday (April 22nd)! Our fields are still drying out but we have crops from the unheated tunnels. Beautiful baby kale, brightly coloured Asian greens, arugula, and the earliest tulips we’ve ever grown! We’ll also start bringing some of the seeds we’ve saved for folks to plant out in their home gardens (the veggies that can be planted out at this time of year). And we have delicious winter carrots! We never seem to have enough to fulfill the demand this early in the season, so I’d recommend getting to the market […]

Food connects us. The food we eat nourishes each cell of our bodies – that’s what inspires us every day – to grow food with our primary value of Health. Health for every person who eats our food, health for ourselves, health for every other living creature (from the tiniest microbes in the soil to the eagles who swoop above us), health for the air and water, and all those downstream of us – for many generations down the line. Health for families, […]

Well, it’s hard to believe (except when our fingertips were freezing last weekend) that this coming Saturday (Oct.22nd) is our last day of market for the year! We’ll miss a lot of things each Saturday: picking up our weekly treats of raw vegan desserts, cheeses, and seafood seeing all of our smiling fellow market vendors and wonderful market manager and market staff and, of course, our beautiful customers who constantly inspire us and whose appreciation of what we do keeps us motivated! Thank You, Thank You, Thank You for such a great market season!!! We’ll be attending lots of farming […]

This Saturday is our Last Week at Market!!!

The sun feels good! It’s been nice to see plants that spend the winter in the ground sprouting up and doing well. With the mild winter that alternated snow and thaw, we weren’t sure how things would overwinter. It’s still unknown whether everything did well….our overwintered onions seem alive but their black plastic ground cover blew off during heavy winds mixed with thawed out soil. A bed of overwintered baby kale (never harvested) looks really nice and we’ll be harvesting from it soon. This year our biennial flowers were planted into beds that were pretty wet this winter….though bulbs […]
